As a Copper Splicer at Kanaan Communications, LLC, you’ll connect and maintain copper wire networks for telecommunications, ensuring reliable phone and internet services by skillfully splicing and repairing connections.

- Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground
- Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment after installation
- Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards
- Safely work at different heights, from underground to in the air
- Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks
- Document work performed through daily production reports, marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records
- Other duties as assigned
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience
- Valid state driver’s license (provisional licenses not accepted) with an acceptable driving record
- Pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
- Six months of copper splicing experience or one year in the telecommunications industry
- Certified pole climber or ability to demonstrate pole‑climber proficiency is preferred
- Routinely: operate vehicle and heavy machinery; perform fine hand motions; work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level; bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs; lift >55 lb
- Occasionally: work in confined spaces; use ladder, keyboard, and mouse
$35.00 – $45.00 per hour
