What You'll Do

As a Semi-Trailer Technician, you'll diagnose, maintain, and repair a variety of trailer systems and components, including:

Electrical and wiring systems
ABS and brake systems
Wheel seals, bearings, and suspension components
Air systems and trailer diagnostics
Welding and fabrication repairs
DOT inspections and safety evaluations
Preventive maintenance services
Trailer structural repairs and component replacement

Additional responsibilities include:

Documenting repairs and parts usage
Maintaining accurate maintenance records
Identifying safety concerns and repair needs
Supporting fellow technicians when needed
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Ability to pass pre-employment screening requirements
Own hand tools appropriate for the position
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to obtain Michigan State Certifications

Preferred Experience

2-5 years of semi-trailer, heavy-duty equipment, or diesel repair experience
Trailer electrical and wiring diagnostics
ABS and air brake system experience
Welding and fabrication experience
DOT inspection experience
Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and related regulations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
