Head Varsity Track Coach - Boys

HEAD VARSITY TRACK COACH - BOYS SUMMARY

Allegan is looking to fill the Head Boys Varsity Track position, as well, assistant positions for the High School track team. The position would be in charge of the boys high school track program and work alongside the girls varsity track coach. This position would also be involved with helping to develop and work with the MS coaches and athletes.

• Develop and implement training programs tailored to meet track skills.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to athletes to enhance their skills and performance.
• Organize and oversee team practices, competitions, and events.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes during training sessions and events.
• Collaborate with other coaches to create a cohesive coaching environment.
• Monitor athlete progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
• Other duties are requested by the athletic director.

• Previous experience in coaching or participating in track activities.
• Strong background in athletic development or related fields.
• Experience working with students of various ages and skill levels.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to motivate and inspire athletes.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting to achieve common goals.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently walking and standing outdoors while performing the duties of this job. In addition, the employee may frequently bend or twist at the neck and back while performing the duties of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision and close vision such as to read typewritten material.

The employee may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds such as track and field equipment.

Seasonal (March - June) for the  school year season.
