Job Title: Dispatcher / Route/ Client Scheduler – NEMT (Non Emergency Medical Transportation Company (Full-Time/possible part time (30 hours/week)
Location:
Office based in Davison MI-company servicing most of Michigan – Flint, Saginaw, Thumb Region
Compensation: $18–$22/hour ($37,000–$46,000 annually)
Schedule:
Part-Full-time (25-40 hrs/week), Mon–Fri standard hours + flexibility
Reports To:
Operations Manager
We are seeking a full-time Admin Dispatch / Route Scheduler to coordinate transportation for clients receiving non-emergency medical transportation services. This fast-paced role requires multitasking across multiple software systems, real-time communication, and a deep commitment to customer service and logistics. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment and brings experience with NEMT dispatch platforms such as Route Genie, Trip Master, or Medi Routes.
Our clients have been significantly injured and many of them have head injuries or extreme pain requiring empathy and understanding by their providers.
- Plan and adjust daily routes for maximum efficiency and client care
- Dispatch and track vehicles using Route Genie
- Maintain multiple systems/screens simultaneously (e.g., dispatch, mapping, EHR notes, communications)
- Communicate with drivers, clients, and case managers in real time to resolve issues quickly
- Inputting appointments as the come into the office via email, texts or calls
- Confirming clients appointments for the next day
- Verify schedules, ride details, and client requirements (e.g., mobility aids, accompaniment)
- Keep accurate logs for compliance and billing
- Occasional Driving
- Assist Operations Manager with performance reporting
- 1+ year dispatching, logistics, or transportation scheduling experience helpful (NEMT preferred)
- Prior use of Route Genie or equivalent platforms or logistics software (highly preferred)
- Strong multitasking skills; ability to manage multiple software systems/screens simultaneously
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace and MS Office
- High school diploma or GED (some college or logistics coursework preferred)
- Familiarity with Michigan geography
- Available: 3-5 days Monday to Friday, typical 8-hour shift
- May occasionally require early mornings, late afternoons, or Saturdays.
- Paid Training: 2–3 weeks of structured onboarding with shadowing
- Probationary Period:
First 90 days with formal review at 30 and 90 days - Hourly Pay: $18–$22/hour depending on experience
- Annual Range: $37,000–$46,000
- Paid Time Off (PTO) up to 2 weeks after 180 days
- Route efficiency (e.g., % of on-time arrivals)
- Client/driver communication quality (e.g., feedback, complaint resolution)
- Attendance and punctuality
- Proficiency with Route Genie and other dispatch platforms
- Contribution to team performance and support
