Ready Mix Driver SD, ND, MN

Class A or B CDL or CDL Permit Company Paid CDL Training! What you will do

• Pre-trip inspection of ready-mix truck pursuant to D.O.T. regulations.
• Fills water tank before each delivery.
• Upon receiving the delivery ticket, driver pulls the truck under or backs truck under the plant (depending on plant configuration) and charges mixer to receive concrete, making sure totake any admixtures or other ancillary products that are on ticket.
• Uses map book and experience and takes most direct route to job site to ensure on-time delivery.
• Upon arriving on jobsite, the driver must be able to safely maneuver truck in often very unstable ground conditions.
• Driver will add necessary ingredients such as fibers, chemical admixtures, cement, or integral colors at plant or job site.
• Pursuant to customer needs, driver will place chutes from fender or hanging rack onto themain chute at the rear of truck for discharge.
• Prior to leaving the job site, the driver is responsible for completing all paperwork and collection ofmoney if necessary.
• Communicate with dispatch through the use of two-way radio and the use of a truck status signaling system.
• Ready-mix driver is responsible to call callout each day for start time.

• High school diploma (minimum); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to pass Federal Department of Transportation drug screen and physical.
• Maintain driving record in accordance with Federal and State Motor Carrier regulations andmeet company policy requirements.
• Ability to handle cash and make change.
• Ability to deal with customers and other employees in a diplomatic manner, in a variety of stressful situations.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
