EP NL B.V. strives for continuous and sustainable growth in energy production, supply, and trading activities. We ensure a stable energy supply in the complex energy transition. EP NL B.V. has been established in 2023 through acquisition of energy company PZEM and power plants in the Netherlands.
Today, EP NL B.V. operates 4 gas fired power plants with installed generating capacity of 2.6 GW and is among the largest power generation companies in the Netherlands.
As the company aims for further growth and market expansion, we are seeking a talented and experienced Business Development Manager to lead our strategic initiatives, expand our market presence and drive business growth in the Dutch energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all aspects of project development for new power generation facilities, including renewable energy, conventional power/hybrid systems, and supply business.
Market Analysis and Strategy
Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to identify new opportunities for growth.
Develop strategies for expanding the company’s power generation portfolio in existing and new markets.
Project Origination, Development and Planning
Identify and evaluate new power generation project opportunities, including renewable energy (solar, wind, hydro, etc.), energy storage (BESS) and conventional systems (gas, thermal, etc.).
Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
Conduct feasibility studies, site selection, resource assessment and financial modeling.
Stakeholder Engagement, Partnerships and Negotiation
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including project partners, government agencies, regulatory bodies, landowners, and community groups.
Negotiate contracts, including power purchase agreements (PPAs), land leases and other project‑related agreements.
Permitting and Compliance
Oversee regulatory approvals and permitting processes, ensuring compliance with environmental, legal, and safety standards.
Monitor local, regional, and international regulatory changes that could impact project development.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
Manage and lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, environmental specialists, legal advisors, and financial analysts.
Collaborate with internal departments, such as finance, operations and engineering, to ensure project success.
Risk Management
Identify project risks, including financial, technical, regulatory and environmental challenges and develop mitigation strategies.
Ensure all project activities are aligned with the company’s risk management framework.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Number and quality of projects delivered on time and within budget.
Successful acquisition of permits and regulatory approvals leading to Final Investment Decision.
Financial performance of projects, including ROI and adherence to budgets.
Stakeholder satisfaction and community engagement.

Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in business development, origination, or project development in the Dutch energy market.
