Platform Engineer

There’s a lot to like about this one.
Small, very good engineering team. Cybersecurity product. Infrastructure operating at genuine internet scale. And importantly, plenty still to build.
They’re looking for another senior engineer who can come in, understand what’s there, challenge things when needed and actually have some influence over what the platform becomes.
That’s probably the bit I like most about it.
Technically,  Kubernetes is the big one . Not just having deployed something into it, but being comfortable owning it in production and understanding what’s happening underneath.
Alongside that: AWS, Terraform (with some Open Tofu creeping in), Docker/containers and CI/CD. Git Lab CI, Jenkins and Ansible are all in the mix.
Kafka, KNative, event-driven infrastructure, a proper SRE background, AWS/K8s certs — all useful, none deal breakers.
I’m not looking for someone who matches 14/14 keywords.
I’d rather find an engineer who can look at a platform, understand why it’s been built that way , spot what could be better and have a sensible opinion on what comes next.
A few other bits I genuinely like:
Indefinite contract from day one
Unlimited holiday — people actually use it, averaging around 26 days
Hybrid, loosely two days in Amsterdam. Nobody standing there with a clipboard
Work abroad for up to six months while maintaining Dutch tax residency
People stay. Four-plus years isn’t unusual
And mercifully,  one technical interview rather than six rounds and a weekend assignment
Intro with Talent manager, then Hiring manager, then usually anonsite, meet the team, grab some lunch, talk tech and work out whether you actually like each other.
