We're looking for someone who enjoys performing complex assembly and installation tasks—fitting and adjusting parts of major production sub‑assemblies or completing minor assemblies with accuracy and care. You’ll also be responsible for checking out minor assembly tools and executing advanced riveting techniques.

We are a pioneer in the production and assembly of complex aerostructures including aircraft and rocket components, engine nacelle systems, thrust reversers and advanced composite products, applying the latest digital technologies and automation.

Perform complex assembly and/or installation operations involving fitting and adjusting parts and assemblies of major production sub‑assemblies or completing minor assemblies, to checkout minor assembly tools, and/or to perform the more difficult types of riveting.

Responsibilities include:

• Work from blueprints, tool write‑ups, lofts, sketches, verbal information, etc. to perform assigned duties.
• Perform assembly of a major production sub‑assembly and similar operations without the aid of tools or when existing tools do not locate all parts.
• Determine location, position, and accuracy of fit by comparison with blueprints and/or lofts; ream holes where no tool is provided.
• Fair outer surfaces for compound angles and reverse curves by working the frames or sunken areas into smooth contour and correct position.
• Perform the more difficult types of riveting operations, suggesting and using special types of bucking bars and/or riveting tools as required; adjust and operate Drivematic, Erco, and similar riveting machines.
• Make repairs, replacements, and alterations in accordance with engineering and/or Quality Control requirements on work performed by self or other employees.
• Prepare surface areas for adhesive and/or sealing compounds by wiping clean with solvent.
• Apply primer and adhesive to surface, install parts and material, and assure proper fit.
• Seal parts by applying proper sealant, lay parts together, and use clamps, screws, and fasteners as required.
• Visually check parts to assure proper application of sealant.
• Perform initial assembly of parts in minor assembly tools to ascertain location, fit, clearance, etc. of parts in tool and to prove the method and sequence of work operations.
• Use check tools, fixtures, inspection gauges, and precision measuring devices to acquire product acceptance data; enter such data into the Improved Inspection System (IIS).

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to stand and perform work duties for an extended period of time.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
• Ability to work in various temperatures (e.g., warm, hot, cold, freezing) to complete warehouse tasks.
• Ability to work in an environment that includes dust and other debris.
• Ability to be objective and flexible in adapting to changes in priorities, work assignments, and other interactions that may impact pre‑established…
