Overview
We are seeking a dynamic self-motivated Spare Parts Sales Engineer with a passion for aviation and sales. You will be responsible for developing, owning and managing strategies to improve parts sales by engaging internally and with clients.
What YOU Will DoEXTERNAL
- Own the relationship with key customers to ensure satisfaction and identify ways to expand Sales/Services.
- Develop your aviation network and leverage relationships to attract new customers for MRAS Spare Parts sales.
- Collaborate with Customer MROs and Maintenance departments to ensure parts availability; respond to inquiries, follow up on leads, and maintain accurate records.
- Analyze sales channels to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
- Maintain records of deals and client information in the company database.
INTERNAL
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and support for customer parts sales inquiries; assist with inventory planning, supply, delivery and emerging trends.
- Work with engineering, repair shops, buyers, suppliers and field staff to analyze trends and identify opportunities to increase sales or recover sales lost to alternative manufacturers (PMA process).
- Present insights and recommendations to leadership with clear data narratives and P&L impacts.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to explore new sales opportunities and customer behaviors for data-driven recommendations.
- Maintain reports/dashboards and communicate progress against targets.
- Contribute to sales forecasts and monitor markets for risks or opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Sales Engineering and/or Customer Product Support Management in a related manufacturing or OEM part sales industry; recent aviation experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 25% (domestic and international).
- Ability to read Maintenance Manuals and technical data (e.g., Service Bulletins, blueprints).
- Strong computer skills (email, Excel, Linked In, Word); knowledge of a P&L approach to sales.
- Excellent written and spoken communication with expertise in sales data analysis and reporting.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; able to respond to inquiries and maintain relationships.
- Proven track record in industrial sales.
- Ability to manage tasks autonomously and solve complex issues.
