Job Requirements
Education:
Graduation from and accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience:
Five years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience.
Note:
Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in the Aviation Machinist Mate classifications or Aviation, Aerospace Maintenance, or Aircraft Maintenance specialtycodes in the Aviation Maintenance field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Working in an FAA Part 135 or FAA Part 91 or similar military operation.
Working at an FAA Part 145 Repair Station.
Job Description
Main
Purpose:
The MSP Aviation Supply Expediter I is responsible for inspecting received parts and equipment for service and installation on all aircraft assigned to the Aviation Command. Responsible for managing and disposition of all warranty items. Acts as the central point of contact for vendor interaction regarding materiel orders. Serves as the focal point on all service orders and procurement actions for all aircraft.
Informs the MSP Aviation Support Supervisor of known or anticipated materiel shipping delays that may impact scheduled aircraft maintenance workflow and supporting manpower. Acts as an aircraft component and materiel technical inspector under the Department of State Police Aviation Command Repair Station License issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Ensures aircraft components and materials are received in working order and are consistent with the manufacturer’s specifications and the regulations of the FAA.
Performs the duties and responsibilities of an MSP Lead Maintenance Technician. All work performed by this position affects maintenance and manpower work flow scheduling, warranty claims, service and procurement order efficiency. Performs other duties as required by the MSP Director of Maintenance, MSP Quality Assurance Chief Inspector, MSP Aviation Support Supervisor or Aviation Commander.
Position Duties:
Receives and processes all service orders and procurement requests and maintains an accounting of related budget expenditures for all aircraft.
Receives vendor and aviation maintenance technician requests manually and electronically.
Serves as the central point of contact for vendor interaction regarding materiel orders and serves as the focal point on all service orders and procurement actions for all aircraft.
Responsible for coordinating pre-inspection delivery of repair parts and the efficient transfer of those parts from inventory to the specific aircraft job and maintenance agenda.
Ensures materiel and component orders and deliveries are coordinated with aircraft maintenance and manpower work flow to maximize manpower productivity.
