Anchor Academy is a therapeutic day school specializing in trauma-informed services for students aged 10-22 with complex trauma histories, mental health issues, educational challenges, and behavioral difficulties. We offer a supportive environment addressing education, clinical, pre-vocational, recreational, and behavioral needs, utilizing frameworks like ARC and BCC to foster emotional regulation, personal strengths, and healthy relationships. Certified special education and/or content teachers provide curricula aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework.
Job DescriptionWe seek a highly organized and professional licensed ELA Special Education Teacher with experience teaching middle and high school students. The ideal candidate is patient, enthusiastic, and experienced in teaching ELA, capable of working with students in a clinically appropriate manner while maintaining a challenging learning environment. Experience in alternative school settings is preferred. Our interdisciplinary approach involves collaboration with educational, clinical, nursing, and vocational departments.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

- Knowledge of the relevant content area.
