Grace Church in Middleburg Heights, Ohio is seeking a Pastor of High School Ministries.

High School Student Ministries Pastor

Reports to:

Associate Pastor of Life Stages | Student Ministries
FLSA Status:
Exempt | Full-time
Salary | 45 hours/week

The Grace Church Student Ministries is comprised of a 5-member staff team; this role is primarily focused on leading the High school-aged students under the leadership of the associate pastor.

• Must be licensed/ordained or willing to pursue within the C&MA denomination
• Must have strong giftings in relational leadership and shepherding
• Previous experience or related bachelor's degree
• Basic administrative skills

Position Purpose:
The High School Student Ministries Pastor is responsible for directing and coordinating the High School student ministry within the Grace Youth department, in order to connect students to the full life they were designed for, made possible by Jesus. Grace Youth Ministries influences students through meaningful, consistent gatherings, empowered teaching and worship, and life-giving experiences. Adult and student leaders create a culture that encourages and equips students to grow as Jesus followers.

We provide opportunities for students to be discipled, practice serving, and develop skills pertaining to their calling.

Main Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with department oversight on vision and implementation of ministry strategy
• Plan and execute consistent Christ-centered gatherings
• Preaching & Teaching God’s Word
• Implement and communicate clear vision and healthy culture amongst staff and volunteers
• Recruit and equip trustworthy volunteers

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with department team and oversight to develop, plan, and coordinate all High School trips and retreats.
• Assist and collaborate with Middle School ministry
• Interact and develop relationships with parents of students.
• Spend time investing in and discipling students and adult leaders.
• Provide spiritual guidance to students via in-person, email, texting, social media, phone, and other means of communication.
• Develop and plan message series for weekly gathering.
• Provide or resource student, parent, and family counseling (when necessary).
• Plan and execute events and outreach efforts.
• Weekly and monthly staff prayer, fellowship, meetings, district conference, etc.
• Coordinate consistent communication through all reasonable platforms
• Recruit, train, and invest in the High School volunteer youth leader team.
• Help oversee and guide the functioning of High School Small groups by offering resources and guidance wherever needed.

Minimum Education level:

• College
