DutiesElectrical (ELE):
Read, understand, and execute testing programs for various materials and assemblies. Interpret electrical safety standards (CSA, UL, IEC, etc.). Liaise with account managers and clients to meet testing timelines and expectations. Work independently to complete testing, reporting, and certification programs. Observe QAI Quality Management Systems. Provide a professional work environment. Perform general lab duties including cleanup, organization, material procurement, equipment maintenance, and test fixture construction.
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC):
Perform testing of equipment to recognized standards. Record and analyze test data. Interpret results using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, RF amplifiers, chart recorders, etc. Write concise and accurate test reports. Log and update management on project status. Enter test data using Microsoft Office and other programs. Write clear, concise language responsive to requirements. Interface with clients, staff, program managers, and subject‑matter experts.
Maintain test equipment and calibration records. Ensure compliance with QAI quality system.
- Technician/trade school diploma, or 2+ years degree, or equivalent directly related experience.
- Ability to read, understand, and apply technical Electrical Safety & EMC standards toward product testing programs.
- Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral.
- Teamwork ability under tight deadlines.
- Superior MS Word and Excel skills and proficiency with email correspondence.
- Accepts instruction and applies it for testing beyond general scope.
- Grasp general concepts and apply specific test methods.
- Performs testing and, as knowledge grows, graduates to more complex methods.
- Seeks assistance when requirement is outside general scope.
- Good working knowledge of test methods in specific discipline.
- Multi‑tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Owns and takes responsibility for assigned projects.
Valid driver’s license required; willingness to travel as needed. Open to extended hours during peak service demands.
