PHARMACY TECHNICIAN I (INPATIENT) HOURSFULL-TIME, Varied shifts, and every other weekend
POSITION SUMMARYThe Pharmacy Technician, under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, is responsible for the preparation, delivery, and retrieval of patient’s medications used throughout the institution. He/she is responsible for billing certain pharmacy charges to patients and for controlling outdated medications. He/she assists in the orientation of new personnel and may participate in health center and department committees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of Pharmacy Tech program (certificate or degree) required.
Required length of experience
- Previous hospital experience preferred.
Required licensure, certification or registry
- Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB required.
