Thyssenkrupp Materials Services, a leading distributor and service provider with over 480 locations worldwide, offers a 2nd shift CNC Technician position in its Copper and Brass Division.
Job SummaryConducts and operates computer‑numerical‑controlled (CNC) equipment for an organization.
We are hiring on 2nd shift starting at $23.08 per hour.
Key Accountabilities- Performs precision tool machining operations by monitoring feed rates, speed, and special instruments.
- Conducts inspections using measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
- Uses calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and scales.
- Troubleshoots malfunctions by editing specifications and ensuring maintenance of machines.
- Performs preventative maintenance, including cleaning and maintaining safe work spaces.
- Meets organizational production goals of cycle time, quantity, and quality.
- Utilizes blueprints, dimensions, machine instructions, and special project guidelines.
- May have working knowledge of programming CNC machines to meet proper calculations, parameters, and constraints.
- Performs work under general supervision.
- Handles moderately complex issues and refers more complex issues to higher‑level staff.
- Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
- May provide leadership, coaching, or mentoring to a subordinate group.
- This position works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.

Minimum Requirements- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 to 4 years' experience in a related position.
- Ability to read, write and perform basic math skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Safety mindset.
- Accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skills trades program.
- Previous warehouse experience, especially in the metals industry.
- Previous forklift experience.
- Use of handheld measuring tools.
- Computer literate.
