FT Pediatric Nurse – Private Duty Nursing in Westside Suburbs of Cleveland / Compassion & Caring

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Nurse to join our compassionate team. In this vital full‑time role, you will provide specialized nursing care and heartfelt support to a young pediatric client in Brookpark. This position offers consistent daytime hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate, developmentally appropriate nursing care to a child with blindness, muscle spasticity, and seizure activity.
  • Provide consistent coverage during the primary schedule of 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with flexibility for some weekend shifts based on family needs.
  • Monitor the child’s health status, including observing and documenting changes in behavior, mobility, neurological responses, and comfort levels.
  • Demonstrate exceptional patience, love, and compassion while building trust and emotional security with the child and family.
  • Administer prescribed medications, seizure‑related interventions, and therapeutic treatments with precision and care.
  • Support safe mobility, positioning, and daily comfort measures to reduce muscle strain and promote developmental progress.
  • Respond promptly and confidently to seizure episodes using appropriate pediatric nursing protocols.
  • Maintain a calm, nurturing environment that supports sensory limitations and enhances the child’s emotional well‑being.
  • Assist with daily routines, including feeding, hygiene, comfort care, and age‑appropriate stimulation.
  • Keep accurate and timely documentation of care, treatments, observations, and family communication.
  • Support the scheduled care periods requested by the family, including seasonal or temporary variations in hours.

General

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform all skill, treatments, and procedures to the scope of practice as defined in the Nurse Practice Act – Ohio Revised Code (ORC) of clinical practice.
  • Implement treatment and plan of care, using sound judgement and critical thinking.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely documentation consistent with the plan of care and the nursing processes.
  • Document observed changes in patient’s condition, situation, or care environment, and communicate to the Director of Nursing.
  • Adhere to the policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency of employment.
  • Adhere to HIPAA laws and ensure confidentiality and security of the client’s medical information.
Job Requirements
  • Unencumbered license as in the State of Ohio.
