Functions as part of the surgical team by providing technical skill in preparation for, and assisting during, surgical procedures in the operating room, under supervision of the Registered Nurse circulator.

Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing and current license with the Vermont State Board of Nursing, or completion of a formal education program in Surgical Technology, certified or eligible to sit for certification, and maintains professional growth and development to stay current in the field.

This is a bargaining union position.

The University of Vermont Health Network/Porter Medical Center is located in the heart of beautiful Middlebury, Vermont. We are comprised of a 25-bed acute care facility, a 98-bed skilled nursing facility which includes a memory care unit, short-term rehabilitation unit and a long-term care unit, and a network of primary care and specialty medical practices throughout Addison county and the town of Brandon.
