Overview
The American Red Cross is seeking volunteers to assist with local blood drives as Blood Donor Ambassadors. This is in-person volunteer work to support the blood donation process and provide excellent donor experiences.
Responsibilities- Provide excellent and enthusiastic customer service to enhance the blood donor experience.
- Engage with blood donors to promote blood donation and encourage long-term commitment to regular donations.
- Assist donors with post-donation rehydration and observe for any post-donation reactions.
- Express gratitude and ensure donors are thanked for their donation.
- Friendly, customer-service oriented attitude
- Passionate about the Red Cross mission
- Basic computer skills
- Respect for all donors and drive staff
In-person volunteer roles require compliance with CDC safety guidelines and applicable laws. COVID-19 vaccination is strongly encouraged and is required for in-person volunteer roles where applicable.
