American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Post-Acute Skilled Nursing Rehab unit requiring at least 1 year of recent clinical experience and current EPIC charting experience.
Requirements- Active VT RN license or compact license required
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the specialty required
- Recent EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years required, non-negotiable
- Dementia capable care certification preferred
- Prior travel experience preferred
- Post-Acute Skilled Nursing Rehab unit within a long-term care and rehabilitation facility
- Patient population consists of adults aged 60+ requiring skilled nursing rehab care
- Nurse to patient ratio of 1:14 with ancillary support including LNA/CNA/PCT staff
- 12-hour night shift schedule, 36 hours per week
- Schedule varies with no guaranteed days off or weekends unless specified in contract
- Floating required on an occasional/as-needed basis to Long-Term Care and Memory Care units
- Uses EPIC for both documentation and medication administration
- Unit procedures include phlebotomy, EKGs, patient transports, nebulizer-to-inhaler transitions, and starting IVs
- Uses IV pumps as specialized equipment
- Provide skilled nursing rehab care to adult and geriatric patients in a post-acute setting
- Must be able to work a minimum of every other weekend and adjust schedule to meet unit needs
- Must be available to work 2 of the 4 major holidays:
Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day - No block scheduling permitted under any circumstances
- Reliable personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in the area
- Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April
- Bi-weekly orientation sessions are held on Mondays
