Job Overview

USPS Rural Carrier – Saturday & Sunday delivery service, including holidays observed by the USPS. Requires a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. The role may require use of a personal vehicle. Employment is contingent upon medical suitability, general eligibility, and background check requirements.

Scheduled days:
Saturday, Sunday, and holidays observed by the USPS. Hours vary and may require weekend work.

• Valid state driver’s license.
• Safe driving record.
• Minimum two years of unsupervised passenger car driving experience.
• Ability to operate vehicle within the U.S., its territories, or U.S. military installations worldwide.
• Physically able to load and unload trays and containers of mail and parcels weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Medical and background check clearance.

• Loads packages in delivery sequence into vehicle.
• Delivers packages and mail to customers along a prescribed rural route.
• Sorts mail and packages in delivery sequence for the assigned route.
• Receives and signs for accountable mail.
• Collects monies and receipts for accountable mail; picks up mail from customer roadside boxes.
• Provides routine postal information to customers.
• Returns undeliverable mail, submits money and credits to the post office.
• Prepares appropriate time records.
• Maintains security of mail at all times.
• May be required to provide a vehicle for delivery if none is assigned by the employer.

$20.38 per hour, paid bi‑weekly.

Equipment Maintenance Allowance (EMA) provided if the ARC supplies their own vehicle. Work is performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
