Spero Health is one of the largest Office Base Opioid Treatment (OBOT) providers in the country. We provide local and affordable outpatient care to those suffering from opioid addiction, fulfilling our mission of "Saving Lives, Instilling Hope, and Restoring Relationships".

Part‑time

• Provide supervision and clinical oversight to providers.
• Provide initial evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing support for individuals with complex addiction and substance‑related health conditions.
• Complete full and appropriate documentation to support professional billing for services.
• Provide education regarding illness and prognosis to assist with clarification of patient and family goals of care and support development of a comprehensive care plan.
• Provide oversight and supervision on clinical initiatives and processes, interpreting test results to diagnose any health issues and providing feedback to patients.
• Educate and counsel patients regarding medication compliance.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team of professionals to deliver integrated medical, behavioral, and case‑management care.
• Conduct patient follow‑up visits regarding progress with medication and/or treatment.
• Contact patient’s PCP and/or specialists when necessary.
• Maintain required licensure, certifications, and CME credits.
• Review and oversee progress and treatment plans, including making adjustments and reviewing 10% of charts.
• Be physically present onsite 25% of the time the facility is open to the public.

• Active and unrestricted medical license as a physician within the applicable state.
• Experience providing addiction medicine services for medically and socially complex populations; experience managing complex substance use disorders.
• Ability to develop relationships with network and community physicians and other providers.
• Current, active DEA licensure and prescriptive authority in state(s) where applicable.
• Ability to work on‑site with diverse care teams in a variety of settings.
• Effective time management and communication skills.
• Computer literate and experience with Electronic Medical Records.

This position will support our Middlesboro, Barbourville and Williamsburg, KY clinics.
