Role Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bookkeeper / Management Accountant to join a growing accountancy practice in Teesside.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with a varied client portfolio and delivering accurate, timely financial information. You will support a range of clients with bookkeeping, VAT compliance and management reporting, while working as part of a collaborative and professional team.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients.
• Processing sales and purchase invoices, bank reconciliations and journals.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns in line with Making Tax Digital requirements.
• Preparing management accounts and periodic financial reports.
• Posting period-end adjustments, including accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
• Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide financial information.
• Supporting wider accounting operations and client requirements.
• Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
