Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join a well-established and friendly law firm based in Yarm, North Yorkshire. This is a permanent job offered on a full-time or part-time basis, with excellent working hours (9am-5pm), a relaxed office culture, and a supportive conveyancing team. The successful Conveyancing Assistant will be rewarded with a competitive salary of up to £27,000, bonus opportunities, Christmas closure, and the chance to work within a dynamic and evolving conveyancing department.

Role

Responsibilities

The incoming Conveyancing Assistant will be providing essential support to a team of experienced fee-earners across a busy residential property caseload. The department is high-performing and offers a great working environment with a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative and secretarial support to conveyancers.
  • Handling digital dictation, post-completion work, and Land Registry registrations.
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, and other solicitors to provide timely case updates.
  • Preparing documents and correspondence with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Working alongside a wider team of assistants to ensure smooth transaction progression.
Person Specification

Applicants should have:

  • at least 2 years' experience in residential conveyancing.
  • familiarity with a variety of transactions including freehold, leasehold, shared ownership, remortgage, sale, and purchase.
  • be organised, detail-oriented and able to work independently once settled.
  • be proactive in asking questions and collaborating within the team.
  • be able to thrive in a laid-back but professional working culture with a high level of autonomy.
