Job Title Contracts Manager / Quantity Surveyor
Summary We’re looking for a commercially driven Contracts Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s team. This role suits an individual with strong expertise in managing contracts, cost control, and project financial performance. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring contractual compliance, controlling variations, and driving profitability across key operations.

Location and Working Pattern Office-based, 39 hours per week

Responsibilities
Manage and control project costs to ensure budgets and commercial targets are achieved
Administer and manage variations in line with contractual terms
Monitor and report on project financial performance and forecasts
Provide cost analysis and feedback to production teams to aid decision-making
Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies
Support the implementation of improved cost and time control processes
Interpret and apply contract requirements effectively within project environments
Assist in resolving commercial issues and discrepancies across project documentation
Work closely with clients, engineers, and site teams to ensure commercial alignment
Must-have Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field
Strong understanding of contract management and commercial principles
Proven cost control, variation management, and financial reporting experience
Previous experience in construction, engineering, or manufacturing project environments
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Strong mathematical and analytical capability
Nice-to-have Skills
Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
Experience in resolving discrepancies between design, specification, and site conditions
