Site Construction Manager - Power Generation
Are you an experienced Construction Manager with a background delivering mechanical and electrical installation projects within industrial, energy, process, utilities, power generation or heavy engineering environments?
This is an opportunity to play a key role on a major £36m power generation project being delivered for a globally recognised industrial energy operator on Teesside.
Working for one of the UK's leading specialists in distributed energy, power generation and battery energy storage solutions, you'll take responsibility for coordinating and overseeing construction activities on a significant gas engine power generation installation.
Working closely with the Project Manager and Project Engineer, you'll be the company's senior site representative, managing subcontractors, coordinating site activities and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and project delivery throughout the construction phase.
This is a long-term contract opportunity, expected to last 18 months with the potential to extend to 24 months and operating outside IR35.

The Role Based full-time on site in Teesside, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and supervision of construction activities within the project scope.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing and coordinating subcontractor activities on site
Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with programme requirements
Leading site safety activities, inductions, toolbox talks and permit processes
Reviewing subcontractor RAMS and ensuring compliance with approved procedures
Liaising daily with the Client, Principal Contractor and other site stakeholders
Monitoring progress against programme and identifying risks or delays
Attending and contributing to project meetings and progress reviews
Managing site logistics, deliveries, storage areas and access arrangements
Ensuring mechanical and electrical installation activities are completed to the required quality standards
Maintaining accurate site records, reports and documentation
Supporting the Project Manager with planning, reporting and overall site coordination About You You'll be a practical, hands-on Construction Manager with experience delivering M&E projects within demanding industrial environments.

Large-Scale M&E Installation Projects You'll ideally have:
Previous Construction Manager, Site Manager or Site Construction Manager experience
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical installation activities
Experience managing subcontractors and site-based delivery teams
SMSTS, NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification
CSCS Card
Experience working within CDM regulations
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Full UK Driving Licence Previous experience within COMAH or process industry environments would be advantageous, however candidates from other industrial sectors with strong M&E construction experience are also encouraged to apply.
