Job description

We are hiring a Project Scheduler for the Tees Valley Energy Recovery Facility (TVERF), to support the project team on this new Teesworks project.

This is a key position on the project and is a hands-on role, suited to someone who can integrate quickly, take ownership, and deliver from day one.

We are looking for someone with a background and experience in the energy from waste sector.

Location: Tees Valley

Contract Duration: ASAP for a period of 2 years

Rate: Day Rate / outside IR35

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and update Site System Time Schedules (S-STS), integrating construction, M&E, and commissioning activities.
  • Monitor and report schedule performance using CPM and Float Management, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Coordinate schedules across internal teams, subcontractors, clients, and consortium partners, resolving issues proactively.
  • Provide weekly/monthly progress reports, including S-curves, supporting the Construction Manager with on-site data collection.
  • Maintain an as-built schedule, comparing baseline vs actual progress, and recommend improvements to prevent delays.

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with Project Scheduler experience in heavy/industrial sectors.
  • Knowledge of HSEQ regulations and valid site safety certification (SCC, Safe Pass, CSCS, CCNSG, or equivalent).
  • Strong skills in MS Suite, SharePoint, MS Project, and advanced Primavera P6.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, with excellent communication, negotiation, and forward-planning abilities.
