A nursery setting in Middlesbrough is seeking a full-time Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their team from January. This role is ideal for an experienced early years practitioner who is confident supporting children within a nursery environment and contributing to a safe, nurturing, and engaging setting.

The successful candidate will work closely with nursery staff to support children's learning, development, and wellbeing in line with early years best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Support children's learning and development within the nursery setting

Assist with the delivery of age-appropriate activities and play-based learning

Support children with personal care routines where required

Promote positive behaviour, social skills, and independence

Work collaboratively with nursery practitioners and room leaders

Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times

Requirements:

Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting

A caring, patient, and proactive approach

Good understanding of early years practice and child development

Ability to commit to a full-time role from January

Awareness of safeguarding responsibilities within early years settings
