Join a Leading SEMH Secondary School in Teesside Hays Education is seeking an experienced Assistant Head Teacher with SEMH expertise to take on an interim leadership role in a dynamic secondary school setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for an education leader passionate about improving outcomes for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership and operational support across the school.
Collaborate with the Interim Head Teacher to deliver school improvement plans.
Drive high standards in teaching, learning, and pupil wellbeing.
Lead and inspire staff teams to create a positive, inclusive environment.

Essential Requirements:

Proven leadership experience within an educational setting (Assistant Head Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher, or similar).
Strong understanding of SEMH strategies and experience supporting pupils with complex needs.
Ability to lead change and motivate staff effectively.
Immediate availability and commitment for at least one term.

Contract Details:

Supply basis through Hays Education.
Initially for one term, with potential extension until the end of the summer term.
