We are currently recruiting for an HNB Teaching Assistant (Level
2) to join a welcoming school in TS4, Middlesbrough, starting in September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant who has the skills, experience and confidence to support pupils effectively and work closely with teaching staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The Role As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:

Supporting pupils with their learning and development.
Providing individual and small-group support, including pupils with SEND.
Supporting learning, behaviour and individual support plans.
Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
Working alongside teachers to support pupil progress and achievement.
Assisting with classroom activities, preparation and learning resources.
Supporting pupils during lessons, break times and lunchtimes.
Maintaining a safe, positive and purposeful learning environment.
Following safeguarding, confidentiality, health and safety procedures.
Providing feedback to teachers regarding pupil progress and any concerns.

Essential Requirements

Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential.
Contactable professional references are required.
Previous experience working within a UK school or educational setting.
Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
Strong communication and classroom support skills.
Reliable, professional and committed approach.
Available for a September 2026 start.

Important This is a Level 2 HNB Teaching Assistant position. Applicants must hold the relevant qualification and meet the required compliance criteria.
