Freelance Site Engineer – Civil Engineering

 £275 – £350 per day (with kit)

A well-established and growing civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to support the delivery of an £8 million commercial build scheme in Liverpool.

This project consists of a large industrial / warehouse (“shed”) build and is a key scheme for a new client, making it essential that the appointed engineer is technically strong, reliable, and capable of managing setting out and site engineering duties with minimal supervision.

The Role:

Setting out and surveying for a 52-week £8m scheme
Managing QA, as-builts, and site documentation
Working closely with the Site Manager and subcontractors
Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings and specifications
Supporting programme delivery and resolving technical issues on site
Maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality

The Candidate:

Proven experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering / commercial or industrial builds
Strong background in groundworks, infrastructure, and structural packages
Confident in setting out using own kit (GPS / Total Station)
Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
