Job Overview

We are looking for a Part Time Permanent Baker to join the team in our Restaurant in Strikes Garden Centre.

Competitive rates of pay start at £12.70 per hour dependent on experience.

The hours for this role are 28 per week over 4 days. Weekend work is required so flexibility is a must.

As an Artisan Baker you will work as part of the kitchen team to produce a range of freshly baked goods each day. You'll be enthusiastic and passionate about quality and freshness and produce that special something for our customers at the end of their meal.

• Daily production of freshly baked scones, cakes and desserts.
• Follow recipes and production schedules to ensure consistent quality and quantity.
• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and portion sizes.
• Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters.
• Decorate and present baked goods in an appealing manner.
• Work closely with the Chef/Restaurant Manager to plan production.
• Monitor stock levels and contribute towards the ordering process.
• Work efficiently to ensure low levels of waste.
• Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards.
• Close down bakery area each day including preparation for the following day.

• Knowledge of food production techniques and baking principles.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils used in baking.
