What you will do
  • Undertake complex pre-birth, Child in Need, Child Protection, and court-related assessments and interventions.
  • Lead safeguarding assessments and devise risk management plans to promote the safety and welfare of unborn children and infants.
  • Chair or contribute to professional meetings, strategy discussions, and multi-agency safeguarding arrangements.
  • Develop and review outcome-focused care and support plans collaboratively with families and partner agencies.
Qualifications
  • Hold a Degree or Master’s Degree in Social Work.
  • Completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment ASYE or have equivalent post-qualifying experience.
  • Have relevant post-qualifying training in safeguarding, child protection, or court work.
Registration and compliance
  • Maintain current registration with Social Work England SWE.
  • Have a sound knowledge of key legislation including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, Public Law Outline PLO, Human Rights Act 1998, and Equality Act 2010.
  • Familiarity with local safeguarding partnership procedures is essential.
