Visiting Nurse Association Health Group – Middlesex County, NJ

The Children and Family Health Institute (CFHI) is a charitable program of VNA Health Group focused on improving child and family health. As a full-time WIC Nutritionist
, you will provide personalized nutrition guidance, connect participants to resources, and deliver education.

• Support the organization’s mission with excellence and positive interpersonal relationships.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to ensure a positive patient experience.
• Complete nutrition health assessments to determine WIC Program eligibility.
• Assess needs of WIC participants for special formula.
• Provide nutrition education in appropriate format.
• Develop and maintain a network of social services, food, and community resources.
• Assess daily clinic flow and make adjustments as necessary.
• Adhere to agency infection control and safety policies.
• Follow policies related to absenteeism and appearance.

• BS in Dietetics, Food, and Nutrition from an accredited Program of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics OR a registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Approval from the New Jersey State WIC Office required.
• Experience working with culturally diverse populations.
• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Computer experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.

Busy clinic environment at various community locations; ability to carry/lift up to 40 lbs.; setting up tables and chairs; transporting supplies and equipment; responsible for laptop and related equipment.

Pay range: USD $40,000 – $70,000, plus benefits. Compensation considers experience, education, relevant skills, and market conditions.
