- Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and committed Maths Teacher to start ASAP on a full-time, long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Maths Teacher to join a secondary school where they can make a real difference to students' learning and development.

The successful Maths Teacher will deliver engaging lessons across the secondary age range, helping pupils build confidence in mathematics, develop problem-solving skills and make progress against the curriculum.

As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive classroom environment, adapting your teaching to meet pupils' needs and encouraging students to develop a strong understanding of mathematical concepts.

Key Responsibilities of the Maths Teacher

Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured maths lessons in line with the secondary curriculum.
Adapt teaching approaches to support pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
Monitor, assess and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
Support pupils in developing confidence, mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Maintain positive behaviour and effective classroom management.
Create an inclusive learning environment where students feel supported and encouraged to succeed.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum delivery and pupil progress.

Requirements for the Maths Teacher Role

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Experience teaching maths within a UK secondary school is essential.
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the secondary maths curriculum.
Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
The ability to engage, motivate and support pupils with a range of abilities.
Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
A professional and committed approach to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
