About You

* Hands on experience with machine tools or other heavy industrial equipment / machinery

* Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering

* Knowledge of fabrication welding and welding of hard coatings

* You will be able to read and interpret engineering drawings

* You will have knowledge in Geometrical Design and Tolerancing

* You’ll be a practical problem solver with the ability to investigate issues and develop effective engineering solutions

* You will be comfortable within an autonomous role

* You have technical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles

About the role

* You’ll support the assessment of returned machines and components, identifying the most effective solutions for repair, refurbishment or replacement

* You will inspect pre-used components and produce technical reports to support repair recommendations, cost estimates and rebuild projects

* Supporting the manufacturing facility, you will ensure products are built on time and in line with project requirements.

* Working collaboratively with Production and Quality teams, you’ll help ensure projects are delivered on time, efficiently and to the required quality standards

* You'll provide technical support to the service team when needed, with regards to technical quotations

* A key part of the role will involve producing accurate engineering documentation, technical reports, and Bills of Materials

* You'll support Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and inspections, ensuring rebuilt equipment meets customer expectations.
