Repair Technician; Electrical

Repair Technician (Electrical Bias) – Kinetic Industrial for a leading global supplier of safety components and solutions.

Location:

Middleton, England, North West
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (DOE)

Working hours:

Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 3:30pm, Friday 7:30am – 1:30pm

Contract:

Permanent

• Diagnose, repair and refurbish industrial electronic equipment
• Fault find to component and board level
• Set up and test electronic systems and devices
• Use a range of test equipment confidently and accurately
• Repair or replace components such as diodes, resistors, capacitors and ICs
• Solder and desolder to a high standard
• Record and interpret test data to assess condition and next steps
• Read and understand technical manuals, diagrams and schematics
• Maintain stock and inventory
• Attend training workshops to support ongoing development
• Identify improvements to internal processes
• Ensure all tools and equipment are used safely and correctly

• Previous experience as an Electronic Technician or Electrical Repair Technician
• Ability to interpret electronic schematics and product drawings
• Electronics qualifications are beneficial, but practical experience is sufficient
• Strong English communication skills (spoken, written and reading) required for Health & Safety compliance
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Confidence using MS Office
