Provide nurturing, responsive care for infants (ages 8 weeks–15 months).
Manage feeding, diapering, nap schedules, and play routines.
Observe and document infant development using our inquiry‑based curriculum.
Maintain open, positive communication with families daily.
Collaborate closely with co‑teachers and school leaders to uphold our high‑quality standards.
Qualifications & RequirementsMust‑Haves:
- EEC Certification:
Current Massachusetts Department of Early Education & Care (EEC) Infant/Toddler Teacher certification or proof of a submitted application in progress. - Experience:
Minimum of 3 years teaching in a licensed infant classroom setting (ratios of 2:7 or 1:3). - Training:
Completion of Strong Start 2.0 for Center‑Based Childcare. - Multitasking
Skills:
Proven ability to manage multiple infant schedules using digital apps and visual logging systems. - Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely lift and transfer infants (up to 50 lbs.) and supervise by sight and sound up to 50 feet. - Availability:
Flexibility to work a 9‑hour shift (with a 1‑hour unpaid break) Monday–Friday, between the hours of 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Shift options include: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM; 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM; 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM. - Evening Meetings:
Attendance at monthly faculty meetings (one Wednesday per month, 6:00–8:00 PM, adjusted during holiday weeks). - Language Fluency:
Moderate to complete fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking) required due to communication with families and curriculum delivery. - Compliance:
Must pass EEC‑required background checks, including fingerprinting.
