The Goddard School® located in Middleton, MA is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Resource/Float Teacher to join our team as a full-time employee. As a Resource/Float Teacher, you will collaborate with Classroom Teachers to implement engaging educational programs and activities. This pivotal role includes classroom support, curriculum enhancement and adapting dynamically to meet the evolving educational needs of our school community.

• Must be at least 16 years of age and enrolled in high school or GED program OR at least 18 with a high school diploma or GED OR at least 21 years of age
• Able to meet fingerprint and background check requirements in accordance with the regulations of The MA Department of Early Education and Care.
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, children and families
• Must be able to work any required 9-hour shift between the hours of 7:00AM - 6:00PM, Monday-Friday (Flexibility Required)
• Able to attend faculty meetings on the 3rd Wednesday evening of each month (Flexibility Required)
• Ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid
• Ability to see and read newsprint, with or without lenses
• Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances
• Ability to use arms, hands, legs, and feet, with or without corrective devices; this includes the ability to evacuate the building during emergencies
• Ability to handle crisis situations, especially where children are involved
• Ability to respond immediately to emergency situations
