Contract position – Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer,
Middletown, CT
. 6‑12 months onsite. 25% travel for supplier visits.

Base pay: $39.00/hr – $46.00/hr.

• Maintain the supplier rating system and supplier approval system.
• Conduct supplier source inspections, first‑article inspections, surveys and audits.
• Interface with procurement and other internal stakeholders to assure compliance and corrective action.
• Perform root cause analysis, drive corrective actions and manage supplier corrective action system.
• Coordinate Supplier Manufacturing Readiness Reviews and manage Supplier Request for Variance.
• Perform capability assessments, lead multiple projects to completion, and coordinate supplier readiness.
• Act as primary interface with suppliers for technical issues and source control inspections.
• Collaborate with functional departments to resolve problems timely.
• Prepare and maintain reports on supplier performance, survey results, corrective actions, audit findings, etc.
• Develop and implement supplier quality‑related training programs for quality and sourcing teams.
• Maintain an approved supplier list and monitor continuous improvement.
• Follow departmental/company processes and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workplace.

• BS degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial, or related engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in supplier quality assurance.
• Broad knowledge of a technical field and strong understanding of ISO 9000 and AS9100 regulations.
• Ability to conduct supplier audits, root cause analysis, and corrective‑action management.
• Attention to detail, strong analytical and judgment skills.
• Capability to work independently and manage confidential data.
