Provide direct care to residents and ensure their needs are met in accordance with all laws, regulations and standards. Available shifts are 11 p‑7 a with a rotating schedule.
Essential Responsibilities- Provide direct resident care utilizing established standard procedures and assist with medication checks and reminders. Report any medication issues to the nurse.
- Report any unusual resident signs and symptoms to the nurse in charge.
- Complete and document assigned temperatures and weights of residents.
- Accurately document each shift on the resident flow sheet.
- Make safety rounds at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Serve meal trays/monitor dining areas during mealtimes.
- Be aware of and promote resident rights and quality‑of‑life issues.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
- Complete extra assignments to keep the facility clean and orderly.
- Attend appropriate meetings, in‑service programs and yearly mandatory educational programs.
- Fulfill in‑service requirements to maintain certification as a nursing assistant.
- Every other holiday is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Nursing Assistant with current state certification.
- Prior experience with geriatrics preferred.
- Ability to bathe and dress residents.
