Residential Aide - PT 16 hrs. Friday and Saturday 7 am - 3 pm - Lincoln

Continuum of Care is hiring a part‑time Residential Aide for a 16‑hour week, Friday and Saturday from 7am to 3pm in our Lincoln program. The ideal candidate will deliver compassionate, client‑centered care to residents living with severe and persistent mental illness, intellectual disabilities, and/or addiction.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with personal daily routines, including hygiene, housekeeping, laundry, food management, budgeting, and health and safety.
  • Provide modeling, prompting, and hands‑on assistance to enhance independent living skills.
  • Conduct group activities, psycho‑educational sessions, and community recreation outings.
  • Support safe medication administration, record shift logs, and document observations in the electronic record.
  • Perform routine apartment inspections, perform cleaning and maintenance, and ensure all program pathways are safe.
  • Respond to crises in accordance with Nonviolent Practices policy and provide appropriate interventions.
  • Participate in monthly staff meetings, clinical rounds, and agency training sessions.
  • Maintain a clean and well‑organized work environment and notify supervisors of safety or maintenance issues.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus at least one year of experience in a related healthcare field; a licensed CNA or equivalent certification is acceptable in lieu of experience.
  • Prior experience with individuals who have severe and persistent mental illness, intellectual disabilities, or addiction.
  • Knowledge of community resources and support systems preferred.
  • Valid Connecticut driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to transport residents in personal vehicles when required.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required; ongoing certification maintained by the employee.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic record keeping.
