Recovery Support Specialist: SAFE Family Recovery- 6081
Join Community Health Resources as a Recovery Support Specialist. The Safe Family Recovery program encompasses 3 separate programs: SBIRT, RMCS, and MDFR.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM: SBIRT is a screening that includes a breathalyzer, urine drug screen, and a discussion with the client to identify areas of need related to substance use and mental health. RMCS provides ongoing recovery support and checkups after an episode of treatment. MDFR is an evidence-based program that addresses the complex, multi-generational challenges facing families affected by parental substance use and involvement in the child welfare system.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
Recovery Support Specialist II assists clients in identifying and advocating their own recovery goals. The duties and responsibilities include:
- Assists clients in identifying and advocating their own recovery goals.
- Utilizes appropriate program models, including motivational interventions.
- Conducts program-specific assessments and screens as indicated.
- Collaborates with those served to create individualized and person-centered treatment plans.
- Conducts skills teaching to assist clients as needed.
- Provides case management and crisis intervention or de-escalation as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Lived experience establishing and maintaining recovery from mental health or substance use condition(s) as required by position.
- 2+ years working with identified populations and specifically as an RSS preferred.
- Recovery Support Specialist Certification from Advocacy Unlimited, Recovery Coach Certification from CCAR, or an equivalent certification related to the field of Recovery Support required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
COMPENSATION: $18.00/hr min., and up commensurate upon experience.
