Clinical Services Assistant – Per Diem

Job SummaryAssists clinician(s) in providing coordinated services & case management for adult clients with mental health and/or substance abuse issues.
Key Responsibilities- Prepares for and conducts social skill building and other therapeutic activities to meet the goals of each individual Treatment Care Plan, which is designed to meet the age-specific needs of each client.
- Provides direct care, under the supervision of a licensed/credentialed clinician, by co-leading therapy groups and performing assigned case management activities to assist in achieving established client outcomes.
- Observes clients and communicates to the Treatment Team about the effectiveness of the Treatment Plan. Documents client/family responses as well as collateral contacts, identifies variances and contributes suggestions to the revision of the Treatment Plan, and initiates further interventions as determined by the Team.
- Implements established behavioral management plans for a program or individual clients, ensuring a safe environment, client agreement with the plan, and providing rewards and consequences with appropriate clinical support.
- Assists with transportation arrangements, as approved by the Program Manager, to help clients attend program and meet aspects of their treatment plan that can’t be met on site.
- Utilizes community resources and makes appropriate referrals to support the treatment plan and the continuing care plan a client begins after discharge.
- Connects with area resources through service, health, and employment agencies, professional groups, committees, and consortiums to facilitate access to necessary services for clients upon discharge.
- Participates in treatment conferences, staff meetings, and in‑service training as required to ensure a quality care experience for clients.
- Participates in the facilitation and coordination of education groups and community meetings.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Program Manager.
- Associate in Drug and Alcohol Recovery Counseling (DARC), Human Services, or related field OR relative experience as outlined below.
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field. - In lieu of education, at least two (2) years of experience in a behavioral health or substance abuse setting may be considered.
- Familiarity with Alcoholics Narcotics Anonymous 12‑Step Program.
- CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) & First Aid training required (exception: PHP program).
- Medication Certification required (exception: PHP program).
- Bilingual in Spanish/English required (for Latino Program only).
