Operations Manager, Retail & Store Manager
Professional level sales position supporting advanced commercial functions. Responsible for profitable growth via customer retention and growth, managing a team, and leveraging expert automotive system and parts knowledge.
Primary Responsibilities- Maintain commercial customer relationships
- Provide GAS2 selling experience for commercial customers
- Achieve personal/store sales and service goals
- Provide day‑to‑day supervisory support for team members
- Collaborate with GM on coaching and development for team members
- Dispatch drivers to ensure delivery standards
- Maintain commercial stocking programs
- Build and maintain a network of second‑source suppliers
- Maintain core bank and commercial returns
- Maintain commercial credit accounts
- Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage
- Friendly communication
- Parts locating and stocking ability
- Safety knowledge and skills
- Operating inventory systems and store equipment
- Parts and automotive system knowledge skills
- Operating POS and parts lookup systems
- ASE P2 certified or ASE ready equivalent
- Advanced solution, project and product quality recommendation ability
- Advanced selling skills for commercial customers
- Ability to source from special order, FDO, second source, etc.
- Ability to multi‑task and stay organized
Job Skills
- Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics
- Spoken and written English (Spanish a plus)
- Reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, procedure manuals
- Writing simple correspondence
- Execute written, oral or diagram instructions
- Complete Parts Knowledge Assessment
- Basic math accuracy
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Strong organizational skills
- Understanding of commercial profitability concepts and customer prioritization
- Ability to work days, evenings, weekends as needed
A minimum of 3 years automotive parts experience, proven sales ability in customer transactions, and experience leading teams.
EducationHigh school diploma or GED.
Certificates & LicensesASE certification preferred.
Physical DemandsWalking or standing, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crawl, lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally; vision requirements: close, distance, color, depth, focus.
Work EnvironmentIndoor work, occasional outdoor exposure to weather; high, precarious places; chemicals; electrical shock; vibration; moderate noise.
CompensationUSD 19.95–21.95 per hour.
