Position Role Type: Onsite 2nd Shift

Set up and operate machine tools or process equipment to produce precision turbine engine parts. Follow established methods, use G&A tools, and maintain tooling and fixtures. Perform bench, assembly, surface finishing, and coating operations. Operate part-marking equipment and use automated checklists for routine servicing.

• Work under supervisor’s direction using verbal/written instructions, operation sheets, and drawings.
• Operate manual or numerically controlled machine tools (milling, boring, grinding, turning, broaching, shaping) to achieve dimensional specifications.
• Replace dull or damaged cutting tools as needed.
• Perform bench, assembly, and surface finishing operations (deburring, blending, trimming, fitting) with hand and power tools.
• Apply drilling, riveting, bonding, and part-marking operations to assemble details and finish parts.
• Clean or prepare parts using dry or liquid media, tumbling, grit blast, shot peen, buffing, polishing, wash machines, and dip tanks.
• Apply anti-gall and polymite coatings using dry bake ovens.
• Measure dimensions and part features with fixed or variable instruments and retrieve/store data in computer-based systems.
• Refer difficulties to leader or supervisor and follow equipment upkeep checklists.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• U.S. citizenship.

• 3–5 years of machining experience.
• Extensive milling, CNC experience.
• Manual indications (tool wear awareness).

• Internal Pratt & Whitney IAM Bargaining Unit members of District Lodge 26 and Affiliated Locals 700 and 1746 (Connecticut Operations).
• Safety-sensitive knowledge under FAA guidelines.
