We are seeking a leader to direct and develop an efficient team responsible for engine testing, packing, and shipment. This role will build a high‑performing team through employee meetings, effective communication, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Will Do- Establish standards and expectations for work effort and performance, providing consistent feedback to meet those standards.
- Coach employees to improve performance and maintain current and accurate training, quality, and attendance records.
- Ensure full compliance with Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) requirements, maintaining a World Class safety culture.
- Monitor equipment cleanliness, maintenance, record keeping, and uptime while meeting safety requirements.
- Lead participation in CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence) continuous improvement initiatives, using CORE tools to improve production, reduce scrap, rework, and repair, and achieve planned CORE levels.
- Demonstrate commitment to quality in all actions, ensuring compliance with all quality policies and procedures.
- Control quality, productivity, and process flow to meet customer MRP requirements while ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, quality, or a closely related industrial environment, or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience in the same fields.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma and Lean.
- Experience with engine assembly and engine test and ability to analyze service and engineering data.
- Demonstrated leadership attributes and ability to influence business objectives.
- Experience with EH&S principles.
- STEM degree.
- Prior experience in a team‑lead/supervisory capacity.
- Understanding and ability to drive quality and customer satisfaction through CORE.
- SAP user experience.
This is an onsite role requiring primary onsite presence at the Pratt & Whitney manufacturing facility. Candidates may be asked to attend in‑person interview steps regardless of the role’s primary designation.
The salary range is $82,000 – $164,000 USD. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Additional bonus and incentive programs may apply.
This is a U.S.
-based role. Pay and benefits are adjusted for U.S. territories if the applicant resides there.
