American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring a CT/compact license and prior travel experience.

• Acute care Med Surg/Tele unit with a general medical patient population
• 26-bed unit with ratios of 1:3-4 days and 1:7-8 nights
• Night shift schedule with 4 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required including Sundays
• 48 hours per week guaranteed
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Charting performed in EPIC
• Shared charge nurse coverage with Medical North 6
• Nurse aide support at a 1:8 ratio
• IV team available 7am-8:30pm, with 24/7 nurse resource support for IV assistance
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7, though nurses perform respiratory treatments
• Hospitalist coverage in-house 24/7
• Pharmacy services available 24/7
• CPAP management only, no vents or tele monitoring on this unit

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• EPIC experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must be comfortable working 48 hours per week
• Must be available to work every other weekend, including full weekend shifts

• Provide general medical nursing care on a busy med/surg unit
• 2 shifts of floor-specific orientation provided
• Scrub color is Caribbean blue, with black or white undershirts permitted and black or Caribbean blue pants allowed
• Blocked schedules are not available
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
• Minimal RTO preferred, with no RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
