Kitchen Leader – Chipotle Mexican Grill
Join Chipotle’s mission to cultivate a better world by serving responsible, real food. As Kitchen Leader, you will learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, sauté vegetables, and train Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
Responsibilities- Cook and prep food to order following Chipotle’s kitchen procedures.
- Monitor food waste and inventory levels; resolve food quality issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked kitchen; sanitize equipment and surfaces.
- Monitor kitchen equipment; ensure it is kept in good repair and repair malfunctioning equipment promptly.
- Support a strong team dynamic between back‑of‑house and front‑of‑house Crew; model teamwork and create a great customer experience.
- Communicate effectively with Crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
- Fill out Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and inventory rotation (FIFO).
- Develop Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Restaurant experience preferred.
- Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
- Strong communication skills; written, spoken, and primary language proficiency at the work location.
- High motivation to learn, evolve, and shape what comes next on Chipotle’s mission.

Base pay range: $17.65–$19.64 per hour; includes digital tips. Pay may vary by skill level, experience, and education.
