Custom Shop Technician

DeVivo Fleet Services has an opening for a Custom Shop Technician at our body shop in Middletown, CT. We currently have two projects that this individual will begin in January:

• 2009 Pierce firetruck refurbishment - paint, tear down, bag & tag parts, body work, upgrade lighting & add a compartment
• 1957 Chevy Wagon hot rod build - paint, customization, fabrication & add A/C

• Vehicle structure repair/fabrication
• Steel and aluminum panel replacement
• Fabrication/customization of specialty vehicles
• Vehicle up fitting
• Body fabrication
• Refurbish, rebuild, restore

• Metal fabrication experience within the automotive/truck industry
• Knowledge of layout and construction
• Experience with 12-volt and 24-volt DC electrical
• Ability to read electrical and structural diagrams/prints
• Mechanical ability
• High school diploma, trade school or equivalent
• Be able to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment
• Driver’s license
• I-CAR training will set you above the crowd
