Registered Behavior Technician in Middletown, DE
Make an impact supporting elementary-aged students in an Autism Program as a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in a contract role. This position is full-time with structured hours (8:45 AM 4:15 PM EST), based near Middletown, DE. Your expertise will help shape a supportive and structured classroom environment, working collaboratively with a team of professionals to empower young learners.
What You'll Bring:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification (required)
- Active Delaware PARA Permit (required)
- Prior experience in schools working with elementary students (strongly preferred)
- Proven ability with physical intervention strategies in classroom settings
- Experience collecting and analyzing behavioral and instructional classroom data
- Comfort and professionalism assisting with all toileting, diapering, and related hygiene needs (non-negotiable requirement)
- Reliable transportation and punctuality; ability to work the full scheduled day on site
- Flexible team approach, with readiness to adapt to assignment changes or classroom shifts as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 and small group behavioral support to students, following individualized plans for learners on the autism spectrum
- Accurately record behavioral and instructional data in real time
- Maintain a proactive and positive environment by implementing intervention strategies as trained
- Collaborate with classroom staff and multidisciplinary teams to best support students needs
- Participate fully in all aspects of student care, including routine bathroom duties and hygiene support
- Adjust smoothly to possible classroom or assignment changes within the district
This is a full-time, on-site role running from 10/30/26 to 2/1/27. The interview will be conducted via Google Meets and lasts about 1530 minutes.
